We received a call tonight from the social worker that K has chosen us to parent her baby boy who is due to be born on January 26, 2011. We have a much better feeling about this match. It was a hard decision for us given our recent heartache, but we decided we couldn't let S's decision to parent affect the decision that we make about K. It just wasn't fair to drag our baggage along into this situation. We are so thankful that we chose to continue on this process right away, otherwise we may have missed out on this opportunity. We pray for a healthy pregnancy for K, that she continue to have relationships with people who are supportive of her decision, and for a happy ending in 4 months! We appreciate all of you who have shared in our sorrows over the last 9 days and hope your hearts are smiling just like ours right now!
