An Answered Prayer

Well Zach and I had decided before we applied with our agency that we should probably have our taxes done.  We wanted to be cautious and ensure that we wouldn't have to pay any additional taxes that would cause us to overstretch our budget.  Well we found out last Saturday that we would in fact have to pay additional taxes as our withholdings were less this year than last for some unknown reason.  We were devastated, angry, questioning God and His plan for us.  By Sunday, with a little help from the sermon at church, we realized that we are on "the road less traveled" and this was not going to be an easy journey for us.  There will be times that we encounter potholes of various sizes, feeling like we are traveling alone, maybe even driving up a huge winding mountain unable to see the top, but we need to remember this is the plan that was made for us.  We need to remember that it will all be worth it in the end.  Well back to the title of this entry....Zach came home today and said that he will be getting a $1000 bonus in March!  I almost started to cry.  It's enough money to cover the taxes and allow us to continue with the application process.  It is so true that God will provide if we are patient and faithful.  It just makes me realize this adoption is do-able.  We may not know how right now, but it will work out in God's time and He will provide....He always does!!
