Today when I came home from work, I found the most excellent of surprises waiting for me in the mailbox. It was in an envelope from our attorney, so I quickly opened it, curious what it may be. When I opened the envelope I found a letter stating that the court had made an error in our finalization date and that our adoption was actually finalized on August 31st!! My emotions were crazy out of control, and I almost fell to my knees so thankful for the way God's plan has unfolded in our lives. Last year at this time we were wrapped up in some crazy drama, about to meet a little girl who we thought we would bring home on 9/12/10. On 9/11/10 those plans fell apart and we had to pick ourselves up and jump back in the game. We had no idea the difference a year would make, but I'm so eternally grateful we stuck it out to see!
